We are seeking an energetic and experienced Activity Assistant for Marymount Manor, Long Term Care and Memory Care facility
Activity Assistant Qualifications
- Previous experience in Activities with the elderly a plus
- Long term care experience is a plus
Activity Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with other department the needs of the residents with diversion and creative activities
- Work with Memory Care residents on cognitive development activites
- Conduct activities in coordination with Activities Director
- Participate in the development and implementation of the assessment process and the residents care plan
- Follow the regulations as outlined by CMS and DHSS
- Support a balance of recreational activities including physical, social, religious, diversional, intellectual and creative art and crafts
- Participate in Resident council as needed
- Ensure inclusivity of all residents
- Document in the residents’ physical chart the progress of the residents in activities
- Distribute mail and assist residents in need with opening and reading
- Assist in the dining room(s) during meal times as needed
- Assist with transporting residents to appointments and activities as needed
