Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION :

• Lead employees in the areas of Safety, Quality of Work, Quality of Material, Labor Utilization, and 6S.
• Perform work associated with department production.
• Train and support department employees
• Work with Department Supervisor to meet department assignments and priorities.
• Be an inventory control advocate to help the team improve accuracy.
• Monitor dock for incoming material to ensure accuracy in put away process.
• Monitor production and productivity levels and make personnel moves to meet production WIP goals.
• Promote growth / training opportunities to provide a cross-trained department.

EQUIPMENT : Scanner, Tape measure, Floor equipment

CRITICAL SKILLS / EXPERTISE :

• Safety rules and requirements : knows safety rules, PPE required and able to inspect area accurately.
• Product knowledge : stain colors, sizes, door styles, specie, laminates, construction
• Use Leader Standard Work, Operator Standard Work, and Work Instructions for training and regular audits to compliance.
• Able to use computer to look up information, answer emails, and enter data in spreadsheets.
• Key Result Areas : metrics, standards and goals
• Math skills : addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percents
• Use tape measure : metric and standard.
• Able to train employees in department and coach performance.
• Understand quality standards.
• Operate equipment and use hand tools.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :

• High School degree or equivalent preferred.
• Able to speak and understand English in order to follow verbal instructions.
• Able to read English in order to follow written instructions and process work orders.
