What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Class B Truck Driver position at Masis Professional Group?
SUMMARY
Principle responsibility is for delivery and pickup of products by commercial vehicle under minimal supervision.
SHIFT
The shift is Monday through Friday approx. 6am until the job is done and product is delivered. There is no official end time but it is guaranteed you will get 40 hours every week and overtime in our peak season.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Delivers, picks up and transfers product to assigned destinations by COMMERCIAL vehicle or other assigned vehicle.
*Responsible for collection of C.O.D. payments and/or cash payments.
*Responsible for product verification against invoices and pickup orders or transfer slips and to insure proper counts, proper product and obtaining or giving proper signature.
*Responsible for proper handling and temperature of product from time of departure until Delivered or completion of check in.
*Operates assigned equipment, maintains appropriate Class Drivers License and DOT medical certificates. Report all mechanical defects and assures proper maintenance requirements are met for assigned motor vehicles.
*Adheres to and complies fully with all motor carrier safety regulations set forth by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Must fully comply with all state and interstate motor carrier driver regulations, operates motor vehicle in a courteous manner and keeps interiors neat and orderly.
*Load and unload product to meet company and customer requirements often times lifting boxes weighing up to 100 pounds each.
*Complies with all safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports all accidents and/or injuries in accordance with company policies and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Must be able to accommodate changing shift starting and ending time due to work load.
*Represents the company through proper maintenance of full uniform requirements, personal Appearance and professional conduct.
*Must clean all garbage and any other waste materials inside of vehicle both cab and load box at the end of the day.
*Perform customer service functions according to company policy on: collecting cash, returns, Additional billing, overages, shortages and substitution procedures.
*Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
*Must be able to drive
*Must be able to lift, bend, carry and climb in and out of the vehicle 80% of the time.
*Exposed to elements such as extreme temperatures; all varieties of inclement weather, noise and fumes from vehicles.
*Must be able to lift/carry up to 100 lbs. Push/pull 200lbs frequently (two wheel dolly).
*Can expect to deliver up to 20,000 lbs of product per day in the busy season for 5 days per week.
REASONING ABILITY:
Candidate must be able to work in a productive and timely manner and meet work schedules. Must have the ability to reason through situations as well as comply with company regulations.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Must be able to read, understand and speak in English clearly. Candidate must have the ability to express ideas clearly, both orally and in writing, listen well and respond appropriately.
