What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at Masis Staffing?
We are searching for an experienced Quality Manager to head up the QC Department for an amazing client in Dracut.
The Quality Manager will have:
- Hands on quality role directly interfacing with product engineering and manufacturing
- Direct liaison with customer quality/technical personnel and suppliers where necessary
- Create and maintain ISO documentation, managing internal audit teams, communications with external ISO auditors to insure compliance with the ISO process
- Assure product quality by insuring that test methods are correctly documented
- Improve and maintain systems to measure performance against established standards
- Monitor performance (in relevant areas) according to agreed standards and takes necessary action to communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels
- Monitor and communicate/apply standards created/maintained by external bodies, and integrates within internal quality management systems
- Create and implement training for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments
- Manage day to day activities of the Quality and Documentation/Estimating Teams
- Assist in the development of unit pricing for welding and controls
- Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing Quality Assurance and the customer
- Review customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans
- Report to management on quality issues and trends
- Interface with suppliers and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and implement effective corrective action
- Serve as the Quality Assurance representative to the Materials Review Board (MRB)
- Oversee the equipment calibration system
- Respond to Customer compliance requests such as RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals
Requirements for the Quality Manager:
- The successful candidate will have about 5 years of experience in manufacturing and quality assurance.
- Must know ISO 9001 requirements and 6S program
- Semiconductor and capital equipment experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, preferably manufacturing or mechanical engineering, needed.
