What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bifold position at Masonite Corp.?
We heard you knock! Job Description Read/interpret ticket to determine correct packaging materials are at stations and correct pallet size at off feed of each station, verify door species/size matches tickets, recover doors from outfeed of bifold machine, inspect hinges are applied correctly, pack tracks and hardware bags into cardboard packaging (End Caps or boxes). For shrink wrapped bifolds apply side wraps, align doors, use staple guns to close bifold boxes, downstack finished product onto pallets. Strong knowledge of packaging requirements and procedures, door species/core types, how to read/interpret tickets, customer quality specs, , pneumatic staple guns, read tape measure 1/16". Read/interpret schedules and tickets, perform visual quality checks, pneumatic staple gun Operate with supervision, ensure all bifolds meet quality standards and are hinged, packaged, and stacked according to customer spec within the lead time provided. Dexterity using hands (folding end caps), Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, bending, constant twisting while carrying product, stooping, pushing, repetitive hand/arm motions, and long periods of constant standing or on your feet. Pace dependent on product mix and demand and constant focus on visual quality inspection of doors. Must be able to work with multiple partners and communicate needs/ quality concerns with other team members. Mildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditions. Noisey environment.
