Inkjet and Topcoat Operator / Technician
Overview
The role will entails overseeing the performance of the Inkjet printer equipment and that it is maintained and in good operating condition, to minimize downtime, optimizes production, machine up-time, and they facilitate a smooth on-schedule maintenance and repair program.
This position is the leader for the Inkjet team.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and establishes priorities and schedule personnel for maintenance of equipment, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.
- Responds to breakdowns by determining problem and effect immediate repair.
- Supports a corporate culture that focuses on facts, tangible results, and behaviors.
- Establishes and monitor plant-wide preventive maintenance program.
- Maintenance and support for paint department equipment, data, materials and staples,
Assists the TPM Coordinator and Plant Manager in implementing, training and managing the Masonite TPM program.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
- Knowledge of paint equipment and procedures, air regulations and pneumatic equipment operation such as pneumatic paint tools and accessories.
- Maintain operation and cleanliness of all robotic equipment and mix room.
- Moderate level of responsibility to identify defects, make repairs using tools provide and make decisions on acceptable quality.
- Ensure equipment uptime by keeping adequate spare parts inventories.
- Ability to demonstrate set-up and operational experience of on-line and off-line equipment.
- Drives production, and schedules repair of equipment while assisting in maintenance and preventive maintenance to be handled in a timely manner and works closely with the Maintenance team.
- Hands-on ability and willingness to troubleshoot and perform maintenance work.
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, computer literacy, and ability to supervise are essential for the candidate to perform successfully in this position.
- Electrical familiarity and automated equipment experience preferred to be able to troubleshoot malfunctions /
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience operating in a prefinishing or printing field with exposure to manufacturing / maintenance department.
- Strong knowledge of TPM, CMMS and Reliability Tools.
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, automated equipment, preventive / predictive maintenance.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong aptitude to equipment technology troubleshooting and repair
