The Quality Supervisor analyzes, develops, and implements processes and procedures to improve safety and environmental activities throughout the organization. This position leads and drives a consistent message about Masonite quality with an emphasis on defining and implementing a quality inspection, auditing, and driving the definition of a site quality metrics, reporting and operating mechanisms. This position reports to the facility’s Plant Manager and will have a team of Quality Technicians and a Field Service Technician reporting up to them. Responsibilities Maintains full quality and regulatory compliance while driving process effectiveness and efficiency at the site Ensure site audit readiness and host the Quality System audits Owns site compliance assessment and remediation, leads communication and training requirements for Quality matters; Including participating in training related to manufacturing where needed to ensure quality doors are being made Monitors, controls, and analyzes product and process quality to meet internal and external customer requirements Determines through statistical data continuous improvements projects; plans executes and reports on continuous improvement projects following LEAN practices Works closely with leadership to ensure proper staffing levels are in place for efficient and quality operations Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Fully committed to Safety Basic quality system knowledge (Document Controls, process audits, SPC, Sampling plans) Demonstrated use of Quality tools: Formal problem-solving experience (8D, PDCA, 5P, DMAIC, etc.) Preferred APQP Tools (DFMEA, FMEA, Control Plan, etc.) Strong Lean advocate, highly comfortable with Lean Systems, Lean Management, and Standard Work Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Intermediate skills in Excel including v-lookups, pivot tables) Ability to multi-task & handle task with competing priorities Change agent with energy, passion and enthusiasm Qualifications Minimum 3 years quality control experience in a manufacturing facility Bachelor's degree preferred (or Associate Degree plus 3 years practical experience). An engineering/technical degree is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to clearly set goals, communicate issues with production personnel, customers, sales staff, and management. Six Sigma or Lean certification desired.
