BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for directing, training, and motivating the warehouse team. Responsible for all warehouse activities related to shipping, receiving and traffic management. This role will oversee all all inventory movements and management within the plant, which include movement to and from production lines, rotating inventory and inventory accuracy.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies employees’ skills and develop them by coaching, mentoring and counseling employees on a regular basis and lead the team.
- Supervises the input / output of materials and equipment.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflows.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
- Checks coding and registration of goods entering the warehouse.
- Oversees the organization and classification of goods in the warehouse.
- Prepares purchase orders for procurement of materials and informs the purchasing and supply unit.
- Supervises stock levels established inventory of goods and services.
- Updates / maintains records systems.
- Supervises the selection of materials and equipment in the identification, type and quality.
- Makes daily reports input / output material warehouse.
- Performs and/or coordinates inventory in the warehouse.
- Establishes working methods, registration and control in the warehouse.
- Assures that work practices are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
- Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules requirements.
- Assure that all products are built to the highest standard of quality.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 plus years work experience in a manufacturing.
- 3 plus years working as Warehouse Supervisor.
- Position requires valid driver’s license.
- Required Skills:
- Strong communication skills are a must.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and math skills
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Able to coordinate materials flow and employees
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work varying shift and additional hours depending on business needs.
- Proficient Computer skills with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint Outlook), and Kronos for timekeeping.
- Experience with operating and training on material handling equipment.
- Experience with layout of warehouse and racking/distribution.
- Language:
- Fluent in English
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
