What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Shuttle Driver (Part time) position at Mass Park Inc.?
We are seeking CDL shuttle drivers for work in the Springfield, MA area.
20 to 25 hours per week
Weekday mornings 6:00 am to 11:00 am, some weekends may be required during peak wedding season
We have many events coming up - weddings, sporting events, brewery & wine tours, etc and we need a couple more CDL drivers to fill our team.
Many charters will involve driving local college sports teams to their away games!
The vehicles are late model walk-on 14 and 24-passenger shuttles that are cleaned and maintained regularly.
CDL Shuttle drivers earn $20/hour to start, with gratuities on many weekend jobs. Gratuities vary based on the client and type of charter, but most average around $10-15/hour - sometimes more. This creates the opportunity to earn $35/hour on weekend charters!
A valid CDL with passenger endorsement is required. A valid medical card is also required. CORI checks and driving test will be conducted. Results are subject to approval by management.
Shuttle Driver- Job Description
The job responsibilities of a Shuttle Driver may vary depending on the location where the employee is scheduled to work. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can
- Safely shuttling customers to various destinations
- Opening and closing doors for patrons
- Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles
- Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers and lot attendants
- Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements
- Recording passenger counts and trip times
- Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations
- Assisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones etc.)
- Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness
- Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management
- Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations
