* Manages the day-to-day non-clinical operations and administration of the Retina Service Main Campus location, including (but not limited to) personnel onboarding, supervision and development; management of workflow and throughput in the office; patient and physician satisfaction; inventory ordering, and oversight of assigned financial performance and billing as necessary. Maintains strict confidentiality regarding these matters at all times. Also performs a variety of tasks specific to patient access initiatives which may include (but are not limited to) review of referring provider patterns, monitoring of patient access to appointments, phone workflow, and new process implementation to help increase patient access and service. Reports directly to Director of Operations and works in tandem with the physician service directors. Works collaboratively with other managers within the retina service (imaging, nursing, clinic manager, etc.) to solve problems, initiate changes, and roll out hospital or MGB programs. Serves as a resource to other satellite site managers for retina administrative related problems/issues as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration (or related field) or equivalent combination of experience and education with a minimum 3-5 years' directly related experience in a high-volume health care setting with supervision of staff as part of an overall experience required. Computer literacy required, including familiarity with health care medical record systems, Epic, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Budget and staff professional development experience strongly preferred.
