Looking for an occupational therapist to work on a clinical trial of a cancer rehabilitation intervention. The therapist will be trained to conduct a telephone-delivered intervention with breast cancer survivors. The intervention consists of nine sessions that occur once a week for six weeks and once a month for three months. The structured intervention trains participants to use problem-solving and goal setting techniques to foster their recovery after completing breast cancer treatment. Participants use the intervention to increase engagement in and satisfaction with activities including work, home management, exercise, parenting, leisure, and spiritual activities. The occupational therapist will also be trained to conduct sessions for the attention control condition, which involves the same amount of sessions, but focusing on education related to cancer survivorship topics.

Complete human subjects training requirements for research
Complete training in the trial intervention and control conditions
Contact participants to schedule and deliver sessions by telephone
Document sessions in a Redcap database
Participate in team and supervision sessions weekly or as needed
Record intervention sessions and upload them to a website for fidelity monitoring
WORKING CONDITIONS Describe the conditions in which the work is performed
Intervention sessions can be delivered from home/offsite as long as there is access to a private and quiet space in which to work. The ability to work flexibility with participants to deliver sessions during the daytime or early evening is important. Office space will be provided at IHP if needed.
TRAINING/TIME REQUIRED TO LEARN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Participants will be paid to complete approximately 20 hours of research and intervention training, which includes didactic training with the PI and recorded practice sessions that will be reviewed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS (MUST be realistic and related to the essential functions of the job.)
Occupational therapist with active Massachusetts licensure preferred. Experience working with oncology patients or cancer survivors is highly desired but not required.
