Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our school. As an Elementary School Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and futures of young students.

Duties:

  • Responsible for preparing lessons, units, and projects to complete learning objectives using the Abeka curriculum
  • Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
  • Tracking and evaluating student academic progress
  • Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
  • Managing student behavior in the classroom
  • Helping students improve study methods and habits
  • Creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
  • Decorating and maintaining classroom and bulletin boards to create a positive learning environment
  • Leading parent-teacher meetings
  • Communicating regularly with parents
  • Maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, coworkers and supervisors
  • Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
  • Working with other teachers in extra assigned duties
  • Attend teacher meetings and training sessions as required by the administration

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged children
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Strong classroom management skills
- Experience with Abeka curriculum is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
