HW is also a founding member of the ET&D Partnership, a collaborative industry partnership working to reduce fatalities, injuries, and illnesses in the construction industry, and is currently recruiting for an Analyst I in Pomona, CA.
This Analyst role will support audit planning and testing of operational reviews to strengthen the internal control environment for our core business processes and ensure compliance with our Company’s Policies. We are seeking an individual that thrives in a team environment, has excellent communication skills, and proactively builds strong relationships which are essential to the delivery of our objectives.
Responsibilities
Supports the Financial Analyst team with weekly and monthly tasks regarding audits, SOX compliance reviews and monthly Forecasting and Data Entry.
Plan, develop and conduct financial reviews to evaluate key business processes for compliance with established company policies, communicate findings & management recommendations, and ensure timely completion of required corrective actions.
Develops compliance metrics for key business processes; measures and tracks exception trends at critical process control points; develops and maintains corrective actions control log and reports progress to Operations management.
Prepares high-quality internal analysis and reports that provide evidence of procedures performed and support the related findings and recommendations.
Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of operations for management in an organization.
Studies accounting and statistical records of departments, and interviews individuals to ensure the recording of transactions and compliance with H&M policies and procedures.
Participates in risk assessment, analytical review, and prioritizing of key audit issues.
Qualifications
Minimum Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree Accounting or related business field.
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience: 2 years relevant experience to audit, financial planning & analysis, and cost accounting. Project management and cost estimating are preferred.
Wage Range: $62,400 - 66,560 annually
