Overview
Responsible for performing a variety of administrative, document control and paralegal duties to support the activities of the Legal Department.
Responsibilities
- Act as administrative support for Legal leadership
- Manage and respond to incoming legal requests; assign tasks, monitor deadlines, and update changes in status
- Review, proofread and edit various legal agreements and correspondence
- Assist project teams in preparation for pre-job start kick-offs by preparing contract term sheets
- Conduct compares and general review of various legal documents for execution in accordance with company’s authority matrix
- Draft and assist in the preparation of correspondence, to include letters, notices and emails
- Perform document control functions such as management of the legal Share Point repository
- Conduct research on legal/contractual matters as assigned
- Manage Legal Team calendars
- Coordinate Legal Team meetings, special events, and travel
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually reporting as required by your supervisor
- Other items as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in a business-related field
- Paralegal certificate is preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Zero Injury principles
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Familiarity working within Share Point
- Strong organizational skills, initiative and meticulous attention to details
- Ability to handle confidential information and communications in a secure and professional manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to work well within a team
- Ability to deal with multiple assignments, to prioritize, and to progress assignments without constant oversight
Working Environment:
- When visiting jobsites the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
- This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
