Inside Sales Representative/Warehouse Operator
Overview:
Master Plumbing & Heating supports residential and commercial clients in preventative maintenance, installation, and repair services for plumbing, heating ventilation, air conditioning, and control (HVAC) systems. Under the direction of the CEO, the Inside Sales/Warehouse Operator will help customers find the right product for their job, answer incoming sales calls, waiting on incoming customers, writing sales quotes, helping pick orders, helping put stock away, and other general warehouse duties
Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing expert knowledge on plumbing and HVAC products and services.
- Sales Activities: Generate sales leads, actively pursue new business opportunities, and contribute to achieving sales targets.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest plumbing and heating products, ensuring the ability to educate and assist customers effectively.
- Order Processing: Manage customer orders, process transactions accurately, and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Quotations: Prepare and present price quotations, negotiate terms, and facilitate the sales process from inquiry to closing.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and ensure the availability of products for customer orders.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and ship orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy in product selection and timely delivery.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing products for quality, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
- Organizational Skills: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space, optimizing efficiency and safety.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to coordinate order processing and fulfillment activities.
- Credit Management: Effectively handle the process of returning unused parts to suppliers, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication to secure credits for Master Plumbing and Heating.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in inside sales and warehouse operations within the plumbing and HVAC industry.
- Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of plumbing and heating products, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and HVAC systems.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with sales and inventory management software; ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting and moving heavy items, as well as standing for extended periods in a warehouse environment when needed.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Technical Background: Technical certifications or education in plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Sales Training: Additional training or certifications in sales techniques and customer relationship management.
- Forklift Certification: Valid certification for operating a forklift.
- Multitasking Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
- Team Player: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive working environment.
