Description
SUMMARY
Inventory Specialist is responsible for receiving all deliveries and verifying accuracy of deliveries. Stock all delivered products in their correct location. Assist with ordering and monthly inventory audit.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Receive, verify, and sign for acceptance all invoices.
- Store deliveries in correct location using FIFO method. All perishable product needs to be stored first to follow time and temperature food safety requirements.
- Follow all food safety standards as determined by Baltimore City Health Department and Good Harvest Community Kitchen.
- Ensure original invoices are given to business manager and a copy is given to Operations Manager.
- Assist with monthly inventory audit.
- All products requested by kitchen, packers, drivers and any other departments are recorded on appropriate requisition forms.
SECONDARY DUTIES
- Attends all staff meetings as required.
- Completes all tasks as assigned by management.
- Assist drivers, packers and kitchen as needed and requested by Operations Manager.
- Clean and organize all storage areas.
- Maintain an accurate waste sheet and submit to Operations Manager at the end of each month.
- Assist Operations Manager and Executive Chef with ordering.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma/GED, required.
- Ability to verbally communicate and write in English.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- A positive work attitude and able to work well with other team members.
- Follow directions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
- Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
