Picture Frame Gallery Manager Needed

Job Summary :

Masterpiece Framing & Imaging seeks a self-motivated individual who likes to be productive and has an appreciation for quality artisanship.

Your main responsibility will be overseeing the daily operation of our Evanston frameshop. This involves making sure work flow is smooth, team members have good morale, and clients are thrilled with their framing projects.

You must be good with people and have a creative sense of design. We're a small team, and our shop has a fun, artistic vibe.

You will work alongside the owner for a one month training period, learning the ins and outs of the business. Once trained, you will oversee our Evanston location four days per week and will be required to travel one day per week to meet at our headquarters in Bloomingdale (one hour commute from Evanston).

The ideal candidate is someone who is exceptional at assisting customers on the retail floor, and equally as good at leading a team of creative individuals.

We’re looking for a positive team player with an eye for detail and the ability to perform a variety of duties with a spirit of cooperation and eagerness to succeed.

Responsibilities :

• Assist customers with frame design for artwork on retail sales floor in a friendly / professional manner
• Oversee production schedule
• Assign employee work schedule, manage staff hours, submit hours for payroll
• Ensure deadlines are met
• Manage / evaluate staff performance
• Lead team meetings
• Assist production staff with frame assembly when needed
• Handling customer pick ups
• Material ordering
• Answering phone calls and responding to client emails
• Preparing quotes and emailing frame design options to clients
• Handling setbacks in a timely manner and keeping customers aware of any delays
• Work towards unifying both of our store locations (Evanston and Bloomingdale) making sure the products, procedures and workflow operate similarly
• Hire and train new employees

Qualifications :

• Management experience
• Some picture framing or design-related sales experience
• Aptitude for accuracy and a meticulous eye for detail
• Computer skills Experience with POS software and Adobe Photoshop is helpful

Pay :

$50,000.00 - $60,000 per year depending on level of experience

Requirements :

• 3 Years Management Experience
• Ability to commute to Evanston, IL 60202 & Bloomingdale, IL 60108
