JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the delivery of quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Demonstrates knowledge of special needs and tasks appropriate to each age group as applicable. Also, responsible for the management of designated nursing unit, which includes and not limited to staffing, scheduling, budget and the clinical practices of nursing within that unit. Shares in the responsibility for the quality and cost-effectiveness of the nursing care provided within designated area, as well as, evaluating nursing’s policies, procedures, and services for effectiveness and consistency with the organization’s mission, goals, and objectives. Another important role is providing examples of unit leadership and professionalism through mentoring and career development. Employee performs within the prescribed limits of the District and department legal compliance program. Clinical manager is responsible to detect, observe and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, or upward through the chain of command, the compliance Officer or District hotline.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSN degree in Nursing required. MSN preferred
- Valid Texas License.
- Three years of previous management or supervision experience required. Applicants lacking management experience will be considered on an individual basis.
- Current CPR required. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and other desirable certifications based on areas of responsibility.
Salary : $53,800 - $68,100
