Positions located in either Scott, MI or Hartford, MI - 100% On-site
1-2 month duration
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Perform installation and maintenance of structured cabling, troubleshoot, and commissioning of Low Voltage Systems to include Voice/Data, Audio/Visual, and Security
Pull, route, install and terminate structured cabling infrastructure in a commercial environment
Test cable/troubleshoot and document networking issues
Install data line support structures
Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks or D-rings)
Install, terminate, test, label and document horizontal, backbone and other cables
Install modems, routers and switches
Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms
Respond to emergency service calls as necessary
Travel to different jobsites as needed
Duties of this position must be performed on-site at customer locations
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of three years structured cabling technician experience.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Ability to understand architectural/construction drawings
Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately.
Maintain a safety conscious work environment
Demonstrated ability to absorb new information and training; apply knowledge in the field
Ability to work well with little supervision, individually and in a team environment
