Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipefitter to join our team. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining various types of pipes and pipe systems. This is a full-time position that offers competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of pipes and pipe systems
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, solder, and assemble pipes according to specifications
- Install and connect pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures using various tools and equipment
- Test pipe systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other testing devices
- Repair or replace damaged or faulty pipes, valves, and fittings
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure proper installation of pipe systems
- Adhere to safety protocols and follow all relevant codes and standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or relevant trade school training preferred
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of basic math for measurements and calculations
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe systems and components
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment (stick welding)
- Ability to fabricate pipes by cutting, bending, threading, and soldering
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
