Mixing Operator
Matrix Adhesives Group is a leading adhesive and sealant solutions development partner. We specialize in formulating, filling, blending, and contract packaging for consumer and industrial markets.
What we offer:
· Pay – We offer a starting wage of up to $25 / hr, with a shift differential of $1.50 per hour. Pay increases will be available after 90 days, 6 months, and 12 months for a total of up to an additional $2.00 per hour.
· Comprehensive medical, dental, vision benefits offered the first of the month after 30 days. Company offers up to 4% 401k match after 90 days.
· Vacation – Earn up to 80 hours of PTO in your first year, plus 8 paid holidays.
· We offer a 4 x 10 hr shift schedule, Monday – Thursday. Mandatory overtime may be required (typically on a Friday), based on production requirements.

Job Description:
Join our dynamic team as a Mixer!
As a Mixing Operator, you will be responsible for combining components (ingredients) to create an adhesive mix. This job requires a strong attention to detail. It will require you to weigh and measure each component carefully and add it in the specified order. You will need to become an expert on the equipment, minimizing any processing errors. The position also requires you to clean the mixing vessels once they are empty. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a manufacturing setting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment. Previous mixing experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:
· Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing the required PPE at all times.
· Promote a safe work environment through adherence to OSHA regulations as well as company standards.
· Move, carry, or position materials when adding them to the mixture.
· Precisely weigh or measure materials before they are added to the mixture.
· Operate and monitor the mixing equipment.
· Adjust machine settings to ensure efficient and effective production.
· Perform quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications.
· Record mixing information for every batch of material.
· Perform equipment PMs and clean equipment.
· Troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed.
· Maintain accurate production records.
· Clean the mixing vessels and equipment.
· Operate a forklift and move materials as required.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· At least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
· Must be able to understand machine prompts and troubleshoot equipment.
· Strong understanding of machine operations.
· Must have experience performing quality checks and filling out quality documentation.
· Ability to follow standard work and read recipe sheets.
· Must be able to read a scale and machine instrumentation.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to work well in a team environment.
· Good communication and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively in small groups.
· Must be able to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Preferred Training (Not Required):
· Mixing experience in manufacturing (industrial, food, auto, lotions, etc)
· Leadership experience in manufacturing (team lead, line lead, trainer, etc).
