Apprentice Project Manager

MATRIX is seeking candidates for Project Manager apprentices within the MATRIX Work Ready Training Program.

The Entry Level Project Manager position is the first level of competency to be attained upon joining the MATRIX Work Ready Training Program in the Project Manager career path. The Entry Level is designed to orient and initially expose an individual to the role of Project Manager. The Project Manager is the person assigned to lead the project team that is responsible for achieving the project outcomes. It is expected that the Entry Level Project Manager engages in competency development activities while contributing to the service being provided by MATRIX at the client location.

• Able to translate complex design material into terms applicable to project team
• Has a basic understanding of engineering design means and methods
• Can identify and develop risk in execution based upon review of design
• Participates in constructability reviews from design documents

• Able to define quality objectives and create quality metrics pertinent to project
• Can develop quality control elements into project management plan
• Process Flow & Activity Sequencing
• Understands basic process flowcharting
• Can construct activities and sequence to support project planning and execution
• Can create meaningful milestones in process flow for performance monitoring
• Can create metrics to produce leading indicators depicting activity tracking
