What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Coordinator position at Matrix NAC?
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for tracking inventory from receipt through issue of materials to current jobs. This position works closely with our Tool Room Supervisor and Dispatch Department for the smooth and efficient movement of equipment, tools and supplies. Duties include all data entry for Inventory Control department. Also includes placement of blanket order items and working with specified vendors. Additionally, must assure that all tools are in safe operating condition and that all tags/markings required by our Safety Program are in place.
Essential Functions
- Actively support the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”
- Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”
- Track all aspects of materials while under Inventory Control department responsibility.
- Enter and distribute receiving documents, per established procedures.
- Ensure all received materials have appropriate MTR and MSDA sheets.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in all aspects of inventory.
- Process Production Material Issue sheets daily, transferring stock material to appropriate jobs.
- Prepare and issue pre-staging and material transfer sheets for upcoming jobs.
- Maintain minimum levels of stocked materials through blanket order releases.
- Perform other duties, as required.
Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience with receiving or inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; excellent data entry skills, experience in ToolWatch software is a strong plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze information for discrepancies.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work and communicate well with others.
- Work may include frequent pushing, pulling, carrying or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work may also include additional overtime.
