The Michigan Association of Timbermen Self-Insurers’ Fund is a group self-insurers’ fund writing workers’ compensation for the forest products industry in Michigan.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for tasks such as preparing financial statements, utilizing accounting software, managing finances, budgeting, and creating journal entries.
Qualifications
- Experience in preparing financial statements and utilizing accounting software
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to create and manage journal entries
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Sage Software is a plus
- Accounting Degree preferred.
