Operations Manager

Our expanding company is seeking to hire an Operations Manager to join our leadership team. You will be in charge of providing inspired leadership for the operation for one of our organization's lines of business, which involves making important policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures. You will also be assisting with recruiting, when necessary, and help promote a company culture that encourages morale and performance. Our ideal operations manager will not only be able to implement operational policies and procedures, but will also have extensive knowledge of warehouse management, inventory management, and distribution operations.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, inventory management, distribution and maintenance operations
• Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
• Plan work and assign tasks appropriately
• Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
• Check time cards and approve payroll
• Deescalate urgent customer service concerns

Skills

• Minimum of 2 years proven work experience as a warehouse manager
• Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
• Expertise in inventory management procedures and best practices
• Customer service skills
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
• Leadership skills and ability manage staff
• Strong decision making and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
