What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher/Busser position at Matteo's Osteria?
This position can be fast paced and is an integral position in the restaurant. The ideal person would be able to work both positions easily depending upon the needs of the restaurant. One night might be scheduled as a busser and the next night a dishwasher.
We are looking for someone willing to cross train in multiple positions.
Dishwasher Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Support the kitchen staff by ensuring a smooth flow of dishes, pans, and supplies
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation to maintain safety and hygiene standards and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Busser Responsiblities:
- Greets guests with a smile, offering water selection options
- Brings bread to the table after the guests have ordered their meals.
- Assisting with various tasks related to food service operations.
- Clearing tables, cleaning dining areas, and maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of basic food service and restaurant operations
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
