About the Role:
As the Facilities Specialist, you will work as a team member with our facilities management team who ensure our workplace environment runs smoothly every day. Your work will be to assist to the facility management team to complete various facilities improvement duties under general supervision. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in facility management, conference room coordination, and work-order processing and internal relocation assistance. This is an hourly, part-time position located in Sunnyvale.
- Takes maintenance service requests, coordinating and closing out work orders as required
- Daily contact with vendors and contractors to schedule miscellaneous repairs and maintenance
- Assist with set up and facilitation of team events in the office and in remote locations. This includes, but is not limited to: coordinating with vendors, set up and break down of event space, prepping the office for events, and being onsite during events to ensure everything runs smoothly
- Provide support on various levels tasks and projects managed by facilities operations
- Work with facility management to ensure completion of all special project work as assigned
- Assist office staff members in the implementation and organization of internal and building-to-building moves. May be involved with communicating and coordinating with movers, vendors and other internal/external staff members
- Work as the backup liaison to other in-house support groups
- Assist with the initiation of purchase orders as requested by management or other involved parties
- May require addition work consisting of overtime and/or on-call duties
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Proven experience providing facilities type project work
- Must have mechanical aptitude; must have demonstrated an ability to work with hands and use tools
- Must be able to climb in structures and work beneath machines in close quarters to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Proven experience providing the highest quality and customer satisfaction
- Minimum 2 years related work experience in related industry
- General computer knowledge of Google Suite
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, long and short term projects
- Proficient communication skills
- Required, High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
