Automotive Body Shop Manager

Essential Job Duties:

The essential job duties referenced above are important for the job to be accomplished. Other job duties may be required.

· Oversee and manage daily operations of the store

· Direct and schedule the work of all body shop employees

· Forecast goals and objectives for the body shop

· Handle customer inquiries and complaints immediately and in accordance with company policy

· Report on the financial state of the body shop

· Develop business through insurance adjusters, customers and other sources to assure adequate sales volume

· Maintain customer satisfaction standards

· Directs the activities of body shop employees in performing body repairs including meeting time schedules and productivity levels

· Interview and hire new body shop personnel as needed

· Provide consistent training for employees

· Oversee technicians as appointed to ensure work is done in an accurate and timely fashion

· Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws

· Participate and keep up to date with on-the-job training and continuing education required by Manufacturers, Vendors, and other outside sources as requested by Management.

Desired Qualifications:

· High school diploma/GED required

· Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of Collision experience

· Extensive knowledge of automotive industry

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Ability to communicate well with Techs, customers and management

· Willingness to participate in in-house and outside training

Work Environment:

· Working with and near moving/running mechanical parts

· Noise level in the work environment - moderate to above average

· Lifting – low to moderate

· Bending, reaching, pushing, pulling – moderate
