What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Mature Caregivers?
Mature Caregivers has a unique opportunity for an experienced Caregiver who has worked with young adults or children and preferably experience working with individuals with special needs. Care is for a 30 yr old male in Wellesley with a very supportive and loving family. He functions at the level of a 3 or 4 yr old. He is happy, social, toilet trained, verbal. He is intellectually impaired and has autistic tendencies. He enjoys going outside for walks or to play basketball or soccer and going to the library and local stores for quick errands. The priority hours are Tuesday and Friday 10am-4pm and secondarily, Wednesday and Thursday 3p-6p. There may also be opportunities on occasion for Sunday afternoons or occasional weeknights. Caregiver will help with keeping the day structured, planning the day with the client, help with transitioning from one activity to the next, make sure a healthy meal is prepared and served (may include lunches out at times). Caregiver will also assist with daily living activities such as hand washing and teeth brushing. Must have reliable vehicle and excellent driving record. Ideal caregiver will be kind, warm, upbeat, curious, active, and energetic. There is one friendly dog in the home. Pay rate is $20/hour.
