Seeking an Experienced Associate Dentist with a minimum of 6 months full-time, or 1 year part-time experience in a private or group practice following graduation. Maughan Dentistry is one of the highest rated private-practice dental offices in Utah County and we need someone who is able to help us maintain that reputation by providing exceptional, kind, quality care. This is not the usual situation where you will need to build a clientele to fill your schedule. We have to replace a competent, high producing owner and we have a large patient base with an avg of 60 new patients per month. Our patients pay cash or have high-paying insurance plans, no capitation/ HMO/ DSO or low-paying PPO’s. We utilize Cerec technology to provide same day restorations and cosmetics along with Cone beam imaging and 3-D printers for guided implants and clear aligner orthodontics. Mentoring in these technologies and other expanded procedures is available if desired. Our office is currently open 8-5, five days a week with no evening or weekend shifts. A flexible schedule for 1 full-time or two part-time dentists is available.
We are committed to compassionate, quality, and conservative care for our patients, along with a positive, supportive, and rewarding environment for our staff. If you want to work with a great team, where you are actually valued and appreciated, then our brand of dentistry might be right for you.
Responsibilities
- Show up for work on-time with a positive attitude. (We want a nice person who enjoys being a dentist.)
- Work efficiently and productively with all staff members. Treat fellow employees with respect and kindness.
- Communicate effectively by keeping accurate and detailed patient records, sending/answering emails and texts in a timely manner and educating patients on the many options of conservative restorative to optional cosmetic procedures.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile dental office environment.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school and valid state dental license in good standing with sufficient malpractice coverage.
- Proficient knowledge of dental procedures, techniques, and equipment. Cerec, implants, aligners, and wisdom teeth are a plus.
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy, oral health, disease prevention, and the ability to share that knowledge effectively.
- Experience with medical imaging technologies such as X-rays, Cone Beam, or CAD/CAM systems.
Compensation
Guaranteed daily rate of $700 to $1450 (approx. $175K to $350K year). Wage based on length of experience, skill set, quality of work, and speed. Performance reviews every 6 months for the first 2 years. We are open to considering a % based plan, but feel that a fixed rate benefits the associate more when averaged over 12 months and at the same time encourages the owner to fill the associate’s schedule with more than just fillings and root canals.
- Additional stipend, based on the number of days worked, is available for you to use as you wish on health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, medical expenses, retirement, or continuing education. Plus 10% discounted dentistry for your friends and extended family.
- We would prefer someone available an average of 4 days per week, but a flexible schedule is available for 1 full-time or two part-time dentists.
