Full Job Description

Role:

Maintenance Service Technicians are members of the Vacation Operations team and are responsible for the overall Guest Vacation Experience. Must have tools for common household repairs

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for achieving the Goals of the Vacation Operations team
• Maintaining a positive and productive focused attitude when working with guests, owners, associates and all company affiliates
• Complete all work orders required of the Maintenance Operations team
• Continually provide feedback on opportunities to improve process of the Vacation Operations team
• Communicate effectively with the Owner and Operations management teams

Recommended Experience:

• Demonstrated excellence in customer service and hotel or residential maintenance
• 2 years experience in a hotel engineering or condominium maintenance services position.
• Must have basic tools required for household repairs
• Ability to complete tasks without supervision
• Ability to exercise good judgment in making decisions
• Position requires a solution-oriented attitude and the ability to prioritize tasks
• 5 year residency on the island of Maui
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
• Availability 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Weekdays and Weekends.
• Available for emergency calls and lockouts after 4 p.m. on Weekends
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

• This position requires travel to complete work orders at condominium resort locations in West and South Maui
• Reliable vehicle required to reach accounts at condominium resort locations in West and South Maui
• Schedule is based on a 40 hour week, Wed-Sun with some overtime required. Based on work order completion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ 26.00- $28.00 per hour - depending on qualifications and experience.

Schedule:

• Wednesday to Sunday- Off Mondays and Tuesdays
• This position is required to carry a company emergency phone and be available to cover after-hours and weekend emergency calls
• Work Location: Home office is in Lahaina; Travel required to West and South Maui.
• Responsible for maintenance of resort units and assisting Operations Manager, Vacation Services, and Housekeeping Coordinator with completion of work orders and guest requests.
• The Maintenance Operation maintains individually owned condominium units with various appliance and utility packages. Ability to work with a variety of interior configurations is required.
• Attention to customer service with a professional and pleasant personality.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including weekend on call in the evenings, and regular schedule on weekends and holidays.

Requirements:

• Have a “Can-Do Aloha” attitude at all times for guests and teammates.
• Assist other Maintenance, Accounting and Operations teammates with projects and work orders
• Position is Wednesday-Sunday to accommodate weekend arrivals and departures. Hours are typically 8am-4pm but may require overtime for critical repairs and emergencies.
• Compete assignments without direct supervision.
• Able to work both Saturdays and Sundays.
• This position is required to carry a company emergency phone and be available to cover after-hours and weekend emergency calls
• Reliable transportation required to reach accounts from Napili to Wailea.
• Mileage recorded for work orders and inspections will be paid at the current IRS rate.
• Ability to understand and complete maintenance work orders and submit details in work order program efficiently.
• Assist with departure and pre-arrival maintenance inspections, create new work orders and repair deficiencies.
• Assist guests upon request with after hours emergencies and room lockouts.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electricity, carpentry and overall home and condo maintenance is required for this position.
