Primary Job Responsibilities: The Ideal candidate is proficient within a LINUX (Red Hat). The candidate will have 6 years of experience in systems administration, along with knowledge of physical infrastructure and hardware such as Dell PowerEdge M/R servers. This candidate will provide LINUX support of around 400 servers. We are looking for an effective communicator and a problem-solving individual with attention to detail. Responsibility will encompass operational support of the LINUX estate, system maintenance (OS patching).
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience.

- System tunings to application specific requirements. Systems standardization and automation
- Keeping the UNIX environment compliant with the technology roadmap, such as OS & hardware upgrades, 3rd party software upgrades
- Work on incident tickets and resolve in a timely manner
- Remediate Secunia OS vulnerabilities as required by regular security audits
- Perform quarterly patching of RedHat to ensure systems are compliant and pass strict PCI security requirements as dictated by regular audits from security team
- Interface with IT and business clients at all levels of the organization
- Rotating on-call Unix/Linux support in a 24X7 environment
- Documentation of work
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of Linux-based infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Linux-based solutions that meet business needs
- Experience with RHEL Linux 8/7 administration/patch management
- Experience with Linux Server builds and custom configurations
- Experience with performance tuning of Oracle database servers
- Experience with Server Security vulnerability management
- Experience SolarWinds monitoring
- Experience Ansible tower management and upgrades
- Experience VMware operational knowledge
- Experience with automation
- Experience performing Server migrations skills
- Troubleshooting skills
- Strong skills in TCP/IP networking, network topology and firewall environments
- The ability to work completely independently or with a team
- Very detail-oriented in planning, implementing, documenting, and following up
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player attitude with experience working in a collaborative environment
- The ability to multi-task and work across a range of projects and issues with various timelines and priorities
- Storage management basics
- Database administration basics
- Windows administration basics
- Cloud integration basics
- Veritas NetBackup management basics
- Understanding of applications like JBoss, WebSphere, Splunk and HP ALM
