Location: Katy, TX, US

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: USD $140,000 – $170,000 / yr

the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements of this position-

1. Candidate must have at least 5 years of plant management experience.
2. Candidate must have mining/metals/aggregate industry experience.
3. Candidate must be willing to be on call.

Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise department managers ensuring efficient plant operations.
• Meet production, product quality, and operational requirements in line with company policies sustainably.
• Prepare, review, and adhere to annual plant operating and capital expenditure budgets.
• Manage capital improvement projects to completion.
• Contribute to the development of short and long-term operational goals and objectives.
• Drive the implementation of operational excellence initiatives aiming for world-class results.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of 5 years in a management role.
• Knowledgeable in industrial management, mining, or processing methods and procedures.
• Proficient in addressing personnel issues including training, performance measurement, motivation, and skills development.
• Experience in maintaining a cooperative atmosphere between salaried and union employees, customers, and community leaders.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Creative ability to develop innovative solutions for complex operational challenges.
• Extensive knowledge in mining and mineral processing, including grinding and packaging.
• Proficiency in Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Experience managing in a unionized environment.
• Strong organizational and human relations skills.
• Effective communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of accounting systems and financial management analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field.
• Knowledge of mining and processing of industrial minerals.
• Basic understanding of mineral processing equipment functions.
• Experience in Lean and Maintenance Excellence.
