As Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for helping to develop, maintain and apply our accounting policies. In collaboration with various stakeholders across the business, you will lead ad hoc financial reporting projects, and implement the changes in accounting pronouncements. You will manage our corporate financial reporting process, including the preparation of our quarterly and annual financial statements, contributing to board reportings, and liaising with our external auditors and advisors
What you'll be doing:
- Coordinating the year-end audit with our external auditors
- Partnering with the accounting team to generate monthly financial statements, certain accounting entries including stock based compensation, and account reconciliations
- Responding to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Acting as the subject matter expert on US GAAP, with a focus on providing advice and guidance on all technical accounting matters and preparing the required documentation, and ensuring the accounting practice and processes remains current with GAAP, and tax legislative changes
- Partnering with business teams to assess the accounting and reporting implications, documenting any related technical accounting memorandums as needed,, and assisting with the design of proposed changes to the business.
- Assisting with developing and administering effective financial workflows and internal control policies and procedures
- Assisting with streamlining of current financial reporting and operational system to improve operating quality
- Working with the Director of Finance and Accounting team members on developing accounting policies and procedures.
- Coordinating and providing direction for special projects or ad-hoc reporting requests for Financial Reporting
- Ensuring compliance with regulations, filings and reporting requirements
- Executing internal controls with respect to financial policies, processes, and procedures
- Initiating, developing, and maintaining effective relationships with key internal business partners
- Assisting with finance department duties and coverage as required

- 7 years of relevant experience in audit preferred
- Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting or related field
- CPA designation is required
- Experienced in Big 4 firms with an audit background is preferred
- Proven experience in successfully coordinating monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting and the annual external audit process
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and reporting standards
- Familiarity with Oracle Netsuite is an asset
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technology (SaaS) experience is a plus
- Experience working in a startup, hyper-growth or public accounting environment
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Experience with multi-currencies consolidation
