Maxet Management Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As the Accountant, you will play a vital role in providing financial oversight for our clients, ensuring accurate and transparent financial records, and delivering high-quality financial services. Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Manage and provide financial oversight for multiple community association clients, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and association bylaws.
  • Budget Preparation: Collaborate with association boards and managers to develop annual budgets, incorporating expenses, assessments, reserves, and projected income.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and other relevant financial documentation for client associations, presenting them to the board members and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Audits and Reconciliations: Conduct regular audits of financial records, bank reconciliations, and financial transactions to identify discrepancies, ensure accuracy, and maintain the integrity of financial information.
  • Adjustments and Analysis: Perform adjustments, journal entries, and financial analysis to identify trends, irregularities, and opportunities for improvement in the financial performance of client associations.
  • Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external tax professionals for the preparation and filing of tax returns for client associations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Financial Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, providing recommendations to improve internal controls and financial management practices.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for client associations regarding financial matters, responding to inquiries, providing financial guidance, and building strong client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a community association management, property management, or real estate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data accurately and provide meaningful insights.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple clients and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within designated deadlines.
  • Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
