What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNA/HHA Needed for PEDS School Case position at Maxim Healthcare Services?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor.
Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office
Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following; a. Baths b. Back rubs c. Oral hygiene d. Shampoos e. Changing bed linen f. Dressing and undressing g. Skin care to prevent breakdown h. Toileting activities i. Keeping patients living area clean and orderly, as appropriate j. Planning and preparing nutritious meals k. Feeding l. Incontinence care m. Practice basic infection control standards n. Changing the patients position in bed or wheelchair o. Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency) p. Safe transfer and ambulation techniques q. Exercise according to the plan of care r. Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency) s. Self-administration of medication t. Patients laundry u. Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.) v. Observation and teaching of home safety practices w. Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
Practices within scope of certificate/license 5. Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned
Adherence to Maxims policies and procedures, documentation, care procedures, and standards of personal and professional boundaries and conduct
Ability to live by Maxims company-wide commitment to quality and competent patient care
Responsible for completing all assigned trainings in a timely manner

Minimum Requirements: 1. Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable 2. Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given 3. Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation 4. PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 5. Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations 6. Participation and completion of Maxims competency program 7. Must meet all federal, state, and local requiremen
