What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Interventionist position at Maxim Staffing?

EARLY INTERVENTIONIST

As an Early Interventionist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing in-home/community-based intervention for children who have been identified as having, or being at risk of developmental delay or disability.
  • Coaching parents and care providers to model strategies and provide education to continue effective methods to support their child’s development
  • Schedule and coordinate visits with assigned families; plans curriculum accordingly.
  • Complete necessary documentation within the required time frame, including billing, behavioral data collection, graphing, and treatment notes.
  • Develop and monitor children’s goals to ensure consistency with Individualized Family Service

Plan (IFSP).

  • Work closely with our in-house interdisciplinary team to provide effective intervention strategies, materials, and communication.
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors and community members.
  • Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA laws.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills., professional development, ethics, technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to required standard.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with a wide range of children and families from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software.

BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to and able to travel between different job sites within a 40-mile radius of your home location.
  • Valid California driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance and clean driving record.
  • Fully Vaccinated and Boosted; Exceptions Accepted
  • Ability to obtain background clearance.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
  • Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
  • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
