Maxime’s is the newest opening from the club owner and entrepreneur Robin Birley; owner of prestigious private member’s clubs 5 Hertford Street and Oswald’s in London.
Opening early in 2025, Maxime’s is located on Madison Avenue, New York on the site of the former Westbury Hotel and will continue the long-established Birley tradition of providing exceptional experiences for our members and guests.

Bar Servers at Maxime’s play a crucial role in providing an exceptional dining and beverage experience through friendly, attentive, and professional guest service and impeccable order execution. Bar Servers work closely with all front- and back-of-house team members to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure the highest possible level of guest satisfaction, elevating Maxime’s brand, and service standards at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains complete knowledge of Maxime’s policies and procedures and ensures that all practices and policies are being upheld
- Fosters a warm and welcoming atmosphere, attending to all members' needs in a courteous and professional manner
- Provides detailed menu recommendations, answers questions, and processes orders accurately and efficiently
- Delivers menu items to tables promptly while handling special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergy accommodations with care
- Prepares and delivers beverage orders, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
- Processes orders and payment transactions through POS, ensuring accuracy of checks and cash handling procedures
- Maintains knowledge of menu items, specials, and any changes in the menu as well as ingredients and preparation methods
- Upsells additional menu items, beverages, and desserts to increase revenue and enhance member’s experience
- Adheres to all Department of Health and safety standards related to food handling, hygiene, and alcohol service
- Supports all front-of-house team members in providing exceptional hospitality
- Attends mandatory meetings
- Adheres to posted schedules
- Completes daily opening and closing side work
- Other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)
- 2 year minimum experience in fine dining or similar caliber concept
- Familiarity with POS systems
- TIPS certification required
- Ability to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, per the needs of the business
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
- Polished personal presentation that meets Company standards
- Passion for exceptional hospitality, food, and beverages

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks.
