We continue to expand and are looking to add new CDL Truck Drivers as delivery drivers to help our customers in the Tri-State area. All our drivers are home each night, and the furthest we deliver are a few locations in MA and MD. Our fleet consists of Class B refrigerated straight trucks, and over half are 2019 model year or newer with new units ordered and on the way. As a driver, you are the company's " face " to our customers and play a critical role that is crucial to our continued success.

This position requires a driver with a Class A or Class B license, in good standing, to deliver routes that we handle regularly. Our deliveries are as different as each customer and can require going up and down stairs using a hand truck to place the product where needed depending on the customer.

We have Driver Helpers on each of our routes that help you while making your deliveries---we are a touch freight position that requires strenuous physical work as you make sure each piece gets to its destination.

The CDL CLASS B TRUCK DRIVER drives a truck or automobile over an established route to deliver and pick up products/merchandise, assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities, and collect money from customers by performing the following duties.

The position of CDL Class B Truck Driver is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked more than 40 in any one work week.

The CDL Class B Truck Driver shall be accountable and supervised by the Transportation Manager.

• Loads and unloads product/merchandise by hand or using a hand truck.
• Operates company vehicle in a professional, safe, courteous manner and according to applicable state, local, DOT, and Hours of Service regulations.
• Picks up products/merchandise from various vendors in a timely manner.
• Delivers products/merchandise to various customers in a timely manner.
• Ensures delivery of appropriate products/merchandise in accordance with customer requests.
• Ensures delivery vehicles are clean and in good working condition.
• Performs daily maintenance checks and reports malfunctions to transportation.
• Ensures customer messages/communications are relayed to appropriate management.
• Returns credit products/merchandise with appropriate paperwork and informs management of delivery.
• Assists in always maintaining a neat and clean workplace.
• Reports overstock occurrences to transportation immediately.
• Provides the customer with a copy of the signed invoice/credit form for products/merchandise delivered and/or picked up.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures, paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
• Stacks and secures items in position on the truck to prevent damage during shipment.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders to meet scheduled customer times and maintain adequate productivity rate to meet delivery schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Physical Demands:

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• CDL A or CDL B License.
