Job Description Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented System Administrator 1 to join our Data Center Team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining and optimizing our organization's server environment along with assisting the client in a dynamic environment. This role will provide essential support to ensure the efficient and secure operations of customer IT infrastructure.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.• Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades.• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.• Assist in managing and troubleshooting uses ServiceNow Support Tickets.• Collaborate with senior administrators.• Collaborate with the IT helpdesk to resolve user issues in a timely manner.• Assist in implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions.• Perform routine data backups and ensure data integrity.• Participate in disaster recovery drills and testing.• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.Minimum Requirements:• Per contract requirements, candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship now or in the future. • Candidate must be able to pass a government sponsored background investigation. • Associate degree or certifications in information technology, computer science, or a related field; or three years relevant experience in lieu of degree or certifications.• Strong understanding of computer systems and IT infrastructure.• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.• Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.• Good communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work well in a team and independently.• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.• Azure cloud experience a plus but not required.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
