Job Description Summary:
Maximus is searching for a Tier 2 Help Desk Support Specialist to join a team based at Fort Eustis, VA.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the successful operations and continued performance supporting and operating the U.S. Army’s Enterprise Management System (EMS) component of the Army Training Information System (ATIS).

ATIS provides the underlying infrastructure to manage and deliver standardized training to Soldiers and other learners. The ATIS program designs, tests, implements, operates, and sustains an enterprise ATIS that provides a common operational picture of the training environment through integrated, interoperable training development, management, scheduling, and delivery capabilities.

ATIS enables commanders, leaders, soldiers, and civilians to understand, visualize, describe, direct, lead, and assess training requirements to plan, prepare, execute, and assess training. ATIS also provides the institutional, organizational and self-development Army training domains to manage individual and collective training and education requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide on call support for various software and hardware issues for end users, on a 24/7 Enterprise environment
  • Utilize Remedy to maintain and insure accurate and timely updates on all open tickets assigned to the service desk
  • Escalate and incident tickets or calls to the proper level in line with SLAs
  • Remediate vulnerabilities on workstations from enterprise vulnerability discovery scan
  • Shift lead for Help Desk Tier 1 agents during 2nd and 3rd shift

Basic Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum Eligibility: Position requires the ability to pass a government required background investigation. Additionally, all applicants must be eligible to work for any employer without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • 4 or more years of experience providing service desk / helpdesk support to end-users for PC, client OS, applications and hardware.
  • CompTIA Security CE certification

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Have experience working with the United States military is highly desired.
  • Associates degree (or higher) in a management or technical discipline or 4 years of technical job experience.
