Logistics Coordinator

Maxton Shipping is an American global freight forwarding company with a U.S. Operations Center based in Houston, Texas. We are a growing team of 30 logistics and IT professionals aiming to expand our presence worldwide. Our company delivers industry innovation through our newest platform, Skypace.com, which provides a full cycle of export/import transportation services in the ocean freight segment. Currently, we are looking for a Logistics Coordinator dedicated to optimizing global logistics through efficient booking processes. If you are the one who cares about the small details, and will not go off work until all the freight bookings are made for the day, then you will be the perfect one for us.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the booking process for domestic and international freight shipments.
• Collaborating with carriers, vendors, and clients to secure optimal routes, rates, and services.
• Ensuring accurate and timely entry of booking details into the company's booking system.
• Maintaining regular communication with customers to gather booking requirements and provide shipment status updates.
• Addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Identifying and addressing any booking-related issues or discrepancies proactively.
• Contributing to the improvement of booking processes and procedures.
• Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

What will set you up for success:

• Previous experience in a booking or coordination role within the freight forwarding industry.
• You know how to work with logistics software and systems.
• You have great communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve stressful situations easily.
• You possess excellent attention to detail and used to double-check everything. You are the one who can quickly notice the slightest mistake.
• You have solid organizing skills and know exactly how to organize your work and personal time and don't want any minute to go to waste.
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment, adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
