Job Posting for ABA Special Education Instructor at May Center School for Autism - W. Springfield, MA
The May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities West Springfield campus is looking for a full-time ABA Special Education Instructor to provide educational services to students with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. We provide full-day, year-round educational and vocational services for children and adolescents from preschool to age 22, using proven methods of treatment and teaching based on the latest clinical and applied research.

As an Instructor, you will work individually with those in your classroom in our 1:1 student-to-staff ratio school. You will receive in-depth training with each student in your class and rotate to work with several students every day. In addition, there will be time devoted to training, meetings, and case management to best support those we serve. This position serves as a great stepping-stone to careers such as a Special Education Teacher or Behavior Analyst!

• Flexible schedule start time
o Arrive between 7 AM - 8:10 AM Monday through Friday. Note that once per week classrooms have a morning clinical meeting starting at 7 AM or 7:40 AM, but otherwise, you decide when you want to come in during the start window each day that best suits your needs. Work until at least 3:30 each day, differing with start time.
Responsibilities:
• Implementing teaching protocols and behavior support plans
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Deliver student instruction using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Record and analyze data
• Provide case management
• Manage behavior crisis
• Transport students within the community as needed
Requirements:
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• 18 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid and current U.S. driver’s license
• Availability to work 40 hours per week Monday-Friday including in the Summer
• 1 years working with individuals with people with disabilities and/or education in a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Working knowledge and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Experience managing challenging behaviors
