What You Do

Initially will lead the establishment and ramp-up of engineering at a large, high-volume, cutting-edge automotive manufacturing operation.

As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:

  • Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
  • Collaborate with team members from Mazda and Toyota or, other customers
  • Manage skilled maintenance planning and hiring processes
  • Assess, anticipate, and execute fulfillment of skilled maintenance hiring needs
  • Support the development of job descriptions and job requisitions
  • Oversee hiring practices in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Ensure processing of background and drug screenings, including physical assessments when applicable
  • Support offer letter generation, review and approval processes. 
  • Facilitate job offers.
  • Update/create daily, weekly and special reports and post (e.g., hiring statistics, recruitment site reports, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of labor and related laws, industry trends, and effective human resource practices.
  • Partner with all hiring managers to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures. 
  • Provide functional guidance for administrative support needs.
  • Communicate needs proactively with management to seek, develop and integrate solutions for process improvements
  • Take ownership of headcount management and recruitment KPI’s.
  • Work closely with team on the coordination and facilitation of new hire orientations to ensure the best onboarding experience for new team members.
  • Ability to work outside of typical business hours and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)


 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or similar discipline
  • Experience in recruiting and hiring processes
  • Experience defining and developing new programs, tools and processes in support of recruiting needs in a high-growth environment
  • Communications skills – written & verbal - with prior experience in positions requiring communication with a global and diverse audience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a plan in support of a broad set of goals; can manage multiple priorities in a highly dynamic environment
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Knowledgeable in Social Media platforms used during candidate recruitment and promotion of job opportunities.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms
