Overview
Civil Engineer
The Civil Engineer will create technical drawings based on specifications and calculations. The Civil Engineer will incorporate specifications into drawings and plans that may be used in the manufacture, maintenance or repair of the product or structure. The Civil Engineer uses CAD systems to create, save and view their drawings and plans. Besides creating detail and assembly drawings, other duties include calculating structural strength, assessing building capacity limits, and estimating construction costs.

Education
A high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline is required; in the absence of a degree, directly related job experience serving in an engineering or draftsman role, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement
Experience & Skills
- Solidworks, AutoCAD and an ERP system strongly preferred
- Structural engineering with steel and concrete calculations for loading analysis
- Possess a working knowledge of all applicable manufacturers and industry standards (ASME and OSHA)
- Knowledge of strength of materials properties
- Excellent organizational skills
- Comfortable in a team-based work environment
- Solid written and verbal communication skills (Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization)
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
