Position Summary:
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON-CALL AS SCHEDULED. Inspect fire alarm systems to ensure functionality and compliance per NFPA-72 standards and document testing results with the local authority having jurisdiction. Complete service requests at various locations throughout the designated territory. Complete jobs to satisfaction while maintaining courteous, professional service with all customers. Must be dependable, be a self-starter and have a “Can Do” attitude to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Meet service calls in an efficient manner.
- Identify emergencies and respond quickly to support and assist customers in need.
- Differentiate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies.
- Verify work and paperwork are completed and that all job requirements are met.
- Accurately keep thorough documentation of service calls.
- Answer and manage incoming calls with customers and office staff.
- Create routes, maps, and communicate job requirements to technicians.
- Other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- NICET Level I or II a plus.
- Knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes and standards.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and their devices, appurtenances, critical components and operations.
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must read and utilize a variety of maps to schedule effectively.
- Basic skills with computers/tablets required.
- Valid driver’s license.
