MBI, Inc., one of the nation’s leading direct marketing companies, is looking to hire Senior Associate level staff in our Torrington location. We are a fulfillment operation tasked with receiving, inspecting, warehousing, packaging, and shipping products directly to customers.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
Senior Associates are utilized in several areas of our operation; we have opportunities in our warehouse.
The job would primarily be in a warehouse environment receiving product, moving product between locations, pull product for orders, loading pallets and unloading trucks. Candidates will use radio Frequency scanners to process transactions and they must be diligent at counting to ensure the proper quantities are handled. The ideal candidate will need to be able to multi-task and work independently and be flexible including willing to assist in other areas like shipping and packaging.
The specific details vary by the department a senior associate is assigned to but the common theme at this level is the ability to handle many different tasks simultaneously and tasks which tend to be more complex. The job is quickly trainable and your supervisor, and your co-workers, will help you to catch on - bring a positive and hard-working attitude and you will be successful. And, we are also proud that most of our higher-level positions are filled by associates who are first hired at jobs like this one.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- With training, being comfortable doing transactions in our warehouse management system with our handheld scanners and basic transactions in the WMS desktop screens.
- Motivated, energetic, and dedicated to the highest standards of excellence
- Forklift experience a plus but not mandatory though this position requires operation of forklifts (training will be provided).
- Capable of lifting 35lbs repeatedly
