Position Summary/General Description:
MC2 is a leading Experiential Marketing & Production company. The industry is fast paced and offers a variety of business initiatives that never make two days the same. We are looking for an experienced detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience processing journal entries, month-end reporting and reconciliation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Guide accounting personnel in their daily tasks.
- Regularly reconcile accounts to ensure accurate reporting and proper ledger maintenance.
- Assist in discrepancy discovery and troubleshooting.
- Manage a set of workpapers for month end closes.
- Optimize time management to ensure timely closings.
- Assist in financial consolidation and reporting.
- Assist other departments with their accounting needs.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Collaborative Functions:
- Risk Management and Internal Controls
- Audit Preparation and Compliance
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Minimum of 4 years accounting experience required. Public accounting experience preferred.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics and or similar data base software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
