Project Manager Water Resources
Position Purpose
To grow key relationships for stormwater projects within the RDU Triangle area for new and existing clients. To develop and execute stormwater projects including technical, financial, approvals, and permitting issues while exceeding client expectations. To manage and mentor assigned staff across
McAdamss office locations.
Essential Functions Responsibilities

Lead a production team, provide resource management, resolve complex technical problems,
coach, train, and mentor design and CAD professionals, and work collaboratively with all team
members on all aspects of project execution -
Coordinate and oversee resource scheduling to ensure workload and deadlines are managed
effectively -
Establish, promote, and ensure quality on all projects and work performed by group staff

Develop proposals or contracts that ensure the contract scope is adequate for the project, provide the desired level of profitability, and ensure that the project schedule is viable

Understand business initiatives and concerns of current and prospective clients to recognize and promote new opportunities and cross-sell other services provided by the firm

Assist in the development of short-term and long-term strategic market sector plans, with focus in the Raleigh/Durham market

Responsible for the profitable operation of the Raleigh/Durham Water Resources group
Qualifications

Four-year college degree (B.S.) in engineering

PE required
-
7 years of related experience and/or training

Highly motivated to develop the Water Resources sector within the Raleigh/Durham market

Possess technical expertise in site civil engineering as it applies to stormwater and natural
resources -
Demonstrated leadership abilities with the ability to carry a project through the design process
independently and within a team framework -
Demonstrated ability to independently manage and grow key relationships

Proven knowledge of budget impacts and profit and revenue expectations
