What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales - Precision Machining position at McAlister Design?
The Inside Sales Department is responsible for assisting the Business Development Managers/Account Managers with prospecting, developing accounts, soliciting, obtaining orders, and maintaining customer satisfaction as a problem-solving resource.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support Business Development Managers (BDM) and Account Managers (AM) with account related activity. Inbound lead follow-up, lead generation through researching companies, identifying stakeholders, and outreach.
- Utilize sales support tools, such as ZoomInfo, HubSpot, and LinkedIn to support business development efforts.
- Work with new and existing customers, respond to a high volume of calls and emails professionally and efficiently. Verify, qualify, and enter the information provided.
- Provide sales and technical product information to potential and existing customers.
- Function as key point of contact for customers when BDM/AMs are unavailable.
- Function as a key liaison between BDM/AMs, and other internal departments, to allow them time to focus on selling and customer interactions.
- Process trade show leads in the CRM, assist in follow-up, and maintain the CRM by inputting customer profiles and updates as needed.
- Support sales presentations/customer visits by compiling data and working with the sales team as needed.
- Work with sales to ensure we are following the marketing department requirements for brand consistency. Assist in trade show preparation activities.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Precision Machining & Fabrication Sales Manager.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting outside sales teams.
- Strong prospecting/lead generating skills, including research, cold calling, emailing, social media, networking etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn multiple software platforms.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in the Following a Plus:
- Ability to understand and interpret technical product requirements.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in precision machining.
- Experience with CRM systems (preferably HubSpot) and ZoomInfo.
